Dr. Nikhilesh Todkari

Nikhilesh Todkari completed his medical degree in 2008 from Dublin, Ireland.  He completed his Basic Surgical Training in Ireland in 2010 before moving to Singapore.  In Singapore he gained experience in Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).  After moving to NZ in 2013, Nikhilesh worked In Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics and other surgical specialties in Wellington and the Hutt Hospital, before choosing a career in General Practice.  Nikhilesh began his formal GP training in 2017 and has obtained his Fellowship in 2021.  He has worked in various medical centres in Wellington, Hutt and the Wairarapa.

In addition to General Practice, Nikhilesh has been a visiting Lecturer for the University of Otago, teaching final year medical students.  He is also involved in attending the Mitre 10, SuperRugby and Test Matches as a Match Day Doctor at the Sky Stadium during the Rugby season.

His current interests lie in Sports related injuries, Urgent Care and Skin Cancer management.  He is a member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia and is currently pursuing further education in Skin Cancer medicine.

Nikhilesh is married and has recently become a father to a lovely little girl.  He enjoys going to the gym, training in Krav Maga, and enjoys spending time with his family and his Jack Russell Terrier, Rohaan.
