How to pay

Paying fees and accounts

We ask for payment at the time of your appointment.  You can pay by cash, EFTPOS, cheque, MasterCard or VISA.  If you’re unable to pay your account on the day of your appointment, please talk to our finance manager about alternative payment arrangements.  We add $5.00 to accounts that aren’t paid at the end of the month.  If your account is unpaid at the end of a second month, and you haven’t made any payment arrangements with us, we will:

  • ask you to pay before you see a doctor or nurse
  • refer your account to a debt collection agency and add the collection costs to your account.

We display copies of our fees and accounts policy in the waiting area.

Administration Fees

We charge $50.00 for dishonoured cheques.  A $5.00 admin fee will be added to outstanding accounts at month end.

Online payments

We accept online payments.  The number for payments is ASB Bank account, 12-3142- 0011411-00. Please make sure you add your name and your address or invoice number to your payment details, so that we can credit your account with the payment.

Conditions of payment

Consultation fees are indicative for standard consultations up to 15 minutes. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for longer consultations. Our policy is 1 person per appointment.

If you do not attend your appointment, and do not notify us in a timely manner of non-attendance, you will be charged the full amount for that appointment.

Community Services Card discounts do not apply to evening, urgent, and weekend consultations.

Payment in full is required at the time of your appointment. You can pay by cash, EFTPOS, cheque, MasterCard or VISA.

If you are having difficulties paying an account, please contact our accounts department on (04) 920 2866. It is possible to pay accounts in small manageable automatic payments, and there may be other ways we can help.

If your account is unpaid at the end of the month, and you haven’t made any payment arrangements with us, we will:

  • ask you to pay before you see a doctor or nurse for all appointments.
  • reserve the right to review your enrolment with Ropata Health

If you are unable to keep your appointment with your doctor, please call us to cancel. We reserve the right to charge a non-attendance fee up to the full cost of your appointment.

If you are unable to attend your consultation at least 1 hours’ notice must be given. Failure to do this will incur a penalty charge.
