You usually need to see your doctor for a prescription, and when you do this, the prescription cost is included in the consultation fee.
If your doctor has given his or her approval, you may be able to phone us for a repeat prescription.
The cost of this service is $30.00 ($19.50 for CSC holders). And if you require an urgent prescription within 24 hours, or over the weekend, it will cost $40 in total ($25 for CSC holders).
You’ll need to call us 2 working days before you need to pick up your prescription, so we can check your prescription request with a doctor. We can also email your prescription to a pharmacy of your choice.
You can call our prescription line on (04) 920 0800 between 7am – 10pm weekdays, 8am – 6pm Saturdays and 9am – 4pm Sundays, to ask for your repeat prescription.
When you ring for your prescription, make sure you leave all of the following details:
- Your name
- Your doctor’s name
- Your contact number
- Your date of birth
- The name of your medication, the dose you take, and how often you take it.
- Name of pharmacy if to be sent electronically
