You usually need to see your doctor for a prescription, and when you do this, the prescription cost is included in the consultation fee.
If your doctor has given their approval, you may be able to phone us for a repeat prescription.
The cost of this service is $32.00 ($19.50 for CSC holders). And if you require an urgent prescription within 24 hours, or over the weekend, it will cost $50 in total ($25 for CSC holders).
You’ll need to call us 2 working days before you need to pick up your prescription, so we can check your prescription request with a doctor. We will then email your prescription to a pharmacy of your choice.
Requests made after 4pm from Friday and over the weekend are subject to (2 working days) from the next working business day.
Due to the busy nature of the clinic, it is strongly encouraged that you request a repeat prescription before your medication is expected to run out. This allows time for our clinicians to review the request, and pass on any feedback or requests to be completed before you are due a repeat.
You can call our prescription line on (04) 920 0800 (option 2) to ask for your repeat prescription.

Generally, patients are urged to request their own medications (with the exception of children under 16 years of age or those that have an invoked EPOA).
If you are happy for someone else to request medication on your behalf, please advise us who they are when you call through to our prescription line or when you call the practice. A note will be made on your file of the person/s you have approved. If we have not received prior confirmation of this and a prescription request is put through on your behalf, we will contact you to confirm before we put the prescription through to the clinician.
