To mark the month, a free cervical screening clinic is being held:

Hutt Hospital (The Breast Centre), Pilmuir Street, Lower Hutt
Bookings are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
Why cervical screening matters
Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself against cervical cancer. It helps detect changes early, before they become more serious. Regular screening is recommended for women and people with a cervix aged 25–69.
