Who Can Get a Free Flu Vaccine?
From 1st April 2025, the flu vaccine is free for those who meet the following criteria:
- People aged 65 years and over.
- Individuals with long-term medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, or heart conditions.
- Pregnant people.
- Children aged 4 years and under who have been hospitalised for respiratory illnesses or have a history of significant respiratory conditions.
- People with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder.
- Those currently accessing secondary or tertiary mental health and addiction services.

The funded flu vaccine available is the Influvac Tetra for both children and adults aged 6 months and over.
